As some of you will know, Ellen spends her time running HQ while Stuart is out doing what he does best… Plumbing and Heating! Ellen’s role is imperative to our operation taking care of the paperwork, bookkeeping, social media posts, ordering, networking and the most important of all, our customer service. With her background in managing both large and small operations in the hospitality trade Ellen’s mission when we created Fen Property Services was to bring to life a Plumbing and Heating company which blew all others out of the water where customer service was concerned.

Back in January, we decided to expand our horizons a little and offer a more bespoke service to clients who needed or wanted it—starting with project managing a rental property for a landlord who lives in London and a rental property just outside Wisbech. Stage one was out with the old, in preparation for a new kitchen, bathroom, radiators and hot water cylinder replacement all carried out by us. Then came stage two, the decorating where we enlisted the skills of the fantastic Dan at DC Property Maintenance. The cheeky Henry from GAC Electrics rewired the whole property, the flooring was levelled and re-laid by Donna at Simply Interiors, and there was some building work carried out by Richard King, a local general builder. All of these services needed managing, and as the landlord was unable to be on-site, he asked Ellen if she would be able to take the lead.

Having completed this project successfully, Ellen then looked at other ways to assist clients, be they private residential clients or landlords in a similar position to those mentioned above.

We are currently assisting a client with her cloakroom refurbishment, which has involved visiting a local bathroom and kitchen supplier together and spending time with her to choose the perfect furniture, sanitary ware, tiles and flooring for her requirements. Choosing items like this can be daunting as the choice is vast, and measurements can be confusing! Everyone has a different budget, style and opinion, so it’s important to us you feel entirely confident in the finished article. If this involves a day of going from one supplier to another, Ellen is happy to come along and advise as you go along.
