It's pretty common to find most boiler manufacturers supply warranties of 10 to 12 years now on their mid and high range boilers and this is a good indication of how long manufacturers expect the lifespan of the boiler to be. Of course, there are always exceptions to this but it's a good rule of thumb when shopping for a new boiler.

Last year, our preferred manufacturer, ATAG Heating Technology extended the warranty on ALL of their boiler ranges from an already impressive 14 years to a whopping, industry leading 18 years!! All they ask in return is the boiler is installed to manufacturers instructions and it is serviced to their instructions annually.

I often get asked if these boilers are the most expensive given the warranty period offered and I am pleased to say, they are not. We spent considerable time when we launched our business to find a manufacturer we truly believed in and would be proud to install whilst knowing we were leaving our clients with a boiler they could trust for years to come. Well, in two months, we have only been to the grand total of two call outs, if you look at other manufacturers, they have a dedicated team who purely cover warranty call outs and they are BUSY! I think that speaks for it's self!

ATAG will only sell boilers to Gas Safe Engineers purely because they want to ensure the boilers are bieng fitted by proffesionals they know they can rely on to do their name justice, if you see stock for sale on the internet, it will be very old stock which has been sat in a warehouse so our advice would be to buy under caution and purchase through your local ATAG Selected Partner.
